I found the problem, a blank parameter calling gwrap for performing the benchmark, that is cut off by the command line interpreter in Linux but not in Windows (so the same code gave this system specific error). I'll try to replicate the error condition and report about it.Īnyway system benchmark function composes a command line to call benchmark function from p7zip binay (in /res/7z/7z), which is invoked through a pipe from gwrap binary (the wrapper for graphical representation of the output it is /res/gwrap binary).
However, there's one little problem: the system benchmark starts a program called "gwrap" which tells me this means that certain packaging functionality is not availiable I'd like to fix this. What is that not found program? I'm sure I really don't need that benchmark thing, but if e.g. Needless to say I never dared to risk corruption. Press OK to ignore and risk data corruption. I must say: very beautiful program, very fast, very well done.
I'm on amd64 and downloaded the precompiled zeroinstall-version from your website. The IDE Lazarus allows to target the application to different widgetsets on different systems (the list is quite impressive!) I tested positively the application targeted to GTK1 and GTK2 on Linux (and Win32 on Windows system families of course), Qt on Linux is the next logical widgetset to test.

Some of other binaries in the package (7z, paq.) can be found precompiled for 64 bit Linux and it is not a problem to simply replace the embedded ones with 64 bit counterpart since both uses the same syntax in this way most of more memory hungry and computational intensive archive formats could be handled through optimized binaries.Īs for the widgetset used, PeaZip comes "multi flavoured" Pea is the only one performing intensive calculation (compression, encryption, checksum/hash for PEA format) and would be the only one thrurly taking benefits of this optimization (however the algorithms it uses occupies few memory and will not strictly need a wider memory space, but the computation optimization would be good). Hi, right, my binaries (peazip, pea and gwrap) are compiled for 32 bit, they will work on a 64 bit system but without taking the advantages.
#Peazip command line portable
However PeaZip is available also as standalone application, allowing to just unpack the PeaZip portable package where needed and use it without bothering with installation imho this is quite handy on a network or for having a toolset of applications on a removable device. Starting from precompiled packages should be fine, I read about this but don't know actual progress of that initiative. It's quite hard to create an ebuild for it staring from sources, it is written in FreePascal and would require Lazarus to be compiled, which is not common as other IDE on Linux platform. Location: Vienna, Austria Germany hello world :) Sources are in FreePascal and needs Lazarus to be compiled. The application is available as installable DEB, RPM and TGZ packages and as standalone, portable application not needing to be installed (it's just a TAR.GZ package).Īll packages comes precompiled for GTK2 or for GTK1 for people needing or preferring GTK1 applications.
#Peazip command line update
This update introduces drag and drop capabilities, from the system to the application.Īlso, the new version is compiled with Lazarus 0.9.24 and so benefit of a better GTK2 support, resolving the visualization issues GTK2 version of the program had on some Linux distributions. read RAR, ACE, ISO.) and is available for Linux and Windows. PeaZip is a LGPLv3 archiver supporting various archive formats (TAR, ZIP, 7Z, PAQ.
